Paraskevi Zavou

Paraskevi Zavou is a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee currently completing her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University. She practices under the supervision of Ricky Jackson, M.S., LMFT, #MFT 83813. Originally from Cyprus, Paraskevi brings an international and culturally informed perspective to her clinical work. Prior to relocating to the United States, she lived in the United Kingdom where she received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Southampton and a Master of Science in Mental Health Studies from King’s College London. Her academic and research background includes work on self-compassion, moral injury, and narcissism. Paraskevi has received Levels 1 and 2 training in the Gottman Method for couples therapy.

I believe therapy holds transformative power. It is a space where therapist and client meet in shared humanity, and where the relationship itself becomes the foundation of change. I approach therapy with the belief that grace and compassion are not earned, but given on the single premise of being human. It is my hope that clients experience therapy as a place where they feel truly seen and understood. Through this intentional and compassionate seeing, clients can begin to explore the meanings and patterns that shape their inner lives and relationships, opening space for more authentic and compassionate ways of being and relating.
