Kate is a psychological assistant working under the supervision of Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Andrea Forbes, PSY23101. Kate completed her bachelor's degree in English Literature, with a Biblical Studies minor, at Gordon College. She spent her last year of college abroad, at Oxford University. While at Oxford, Kate also studied counseling by attending a Trinity-term tutorial at the Oxford Christian Institute for Counseling. Kate completed a masters of divinity at Princeton Theological Seminary and a doctorate in pastoral theology and psychotherapy at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. Presently, she is completing her pre-doctoral internship for a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University.
Kate is passionate about helping community-based and faith-based organizational leaders and their families thrive, including professionals with physical disabilities. She is especially skilled in working with individuals and couples who have experienced forms of burnout, compassion fatigue, post-traumatic stress, work-related depression/anxiety, grief/bereavement, faith or spiritual challenges, or marital challenges. Kate also is skilled with working with persons with sensory-processing sensitivity, as well as persons experiencing early, mid, or late-life crises. She focuses on working with individuals and couples to recognize behavioral and relational patterns, explore their personal background and development, and identify effective practices for healing and growth.
