John Silvers

John Silvers is a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee under the supervision of Kelsey Sima, LMFT #118483.

As humans, we innately want to feel connection, love, and belonging. However, we can find ourselves feeling isolated and struggling with our relationships and behaviors. Within this time of isolation, it is easy to feel stuck, and we are unsure how to take the first steps towards change and personal growth. You are making the courageous choice to seek therapy, and I’d like to walk alongside your journey of self-discovery, healing, and learning. Within the safe space, we create together, I will provide authenticity, empathy, respect, and compassion.

I am obtaining my graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy through Azusa Pacific University. While living in Arkansas, I graduated from John Brown University with my undergraduate degree in Intercultural Community Development. Before pursuing a career in psychology, I worked in social services within Skid Row, Los Angeles. I work with individuals, couples, and families, and I am particularly interested in the issues of anxiety, depression, family struggles, intercultural issues, LGBTQIA issues, men’s issues, relationships, self-esteem, and spirituality.
