La Vie Counseling Center was established on the principle that high-quality, professional
counseling be available at a reasonable rate that excludes no individual.
Our sliding fee structure is designed to especially help those of middle and
low income who cannot afford counseling services at the market rate, and we
turn no one away for financial reasons.
Our therapists are regularly called upon to speak at large and small
meetings on a variety of topics. They have shared their expertise in
churches, schools, professional groups, and other
organizations. They look forward to being of service to you.
La Vie offers the following
services to its clients:
Individual Clinical
Counseling -
Our skilled
therapists
will help you address individual issues such
as depression, anxiety, addictions*, grief and
loss, and personal growth
issues.
Pre-marital and Marital Counseling
- Your marital problems are likely rooted in
the individual problems of two people who are
“triggering” each other’s
hurts and defenses. Growth for the individuals
can more effectively allow for communication
building, trust, intimacy, sexual fulfillment,
and for effective parenting.
Family Counseling
- Families are under tremendous pressure today. We will meet with your
family, assess your family dynamics and give
interventions for increasing communication,
resolving conflicts, boundary setting, family
structuring and parenting issues as well as
managing crisis and grief together.
Specialized family counseling
is available for single parent families, blended
families and divorcing families.
Play Therapy
- Children can be assisted in verbalizing
their issues and difficulties through play and
activity. Role playing, drawing, art projects
and the use of clinically significant toys can
help in facilitating the resolution of issues
such as anger, grief, sadness,
oppositional-defiant behavior, bed wetting, and
more.
Employee Assistance Programs
- La Vie will contract with businesses and
churches for a yearly fee that will provide its
employees or members with a set number of sessions with our
counselors.
Professional
Presentations
- Gifted speakers are available
at La Vie. They can bring training
and expertise to your location.
We offer professional presentations on mental
health
disorders and interventions, family and
marriage issues,
and other areas of counseling.
