An 8-week
course dedicated to
understanding and appreciating the significance of anger and
acquiring anger management skills. Anger is a natural emotional state
that can range from mild irritation to seemingly
uncontrollable rage. Anger can be a response to events that
are interpreted through distorted perceptions and
unrealistic expectations. Anger expression patterns are
influenced by a person's experiences as well as one's
temperament and personality. Although anger is considered
part of the human experience, it can surface inappropriately
at home, in the workplace, or at any time during daily
activities. Anger can negatively impact relationships
with spouse/partner, children, coworkers, bosses,
subordinates, friends and strangers. This course
offers a proven approach to understanding and treating anger
control problems from a cognitive (what we think) and
behavioral (what we do) perspective. Join and learn in the
safety of this caring and supportive environment.
