    Marriage & Family Therapy Trainee

    Stephenie Lievense

Stephenie is a caring and intuitive therapist who provides a safe and welcoming space for hurting couples and individuals who wish to explore growth areas in their relationships and personal lives. Stephenie uses theory-based techniques and interventions in her work. She partners with her clients as they move out of pain and conflict and toward a life of fullness and strength. Stephenie also counsels children and teens. She has spent a number of years working in education and is a credentialed elementary school teacher. Stephenie is particularly interested in couples counseling, marriage enrichment, parenting and intimacy issues. Stephenie has served as a mentor to new mothers in the MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) Inc. organization for a number of years.

I have had a lifelong curiosity and compassion for human beings and the human condition. I believe every hurt, struggle and hurdle ultimately has the potential to bring growth to the sufferer. I understand that the darkness, fear, and uncertainty that comes with suffering is often overwhelming, and that at times we need to walk hand in hand with someone to get through it. It is my hope that our time together might bring peace, insight and well-being back into your life and relationships.

Stephenie Lievense is a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee under the supervision of Joanne Weidman, M.A., MFT. She is pursuing her Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy at Fuller Theological Seminary.
