Most of us grow up with the hope of good things to come. As the life journey takes shape, however, unforeseen struggles, challenges, and losses might leave a once hopeful person feeling depressed, anxious, unworthy, grief-stricken, and simply defeated. Amanda has experienced disappointments and hardships in her own life and decided to survive them and overcome with resilience. She believes that sometimes we need some help along the way in order to make ourselves spiritually fierce.

Amanda also believes that effective communication is vital to healthy relationships, as well as a positive self-image. She would like to help others find the confidence to create meaningful and trusting relationships.

Amanda is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist under the supervision of Andrea Forbes, Psy.D. #PSY23101.  Amanda graduated from the University of South Carolina, earning her B.A. in Theater and Speech and a M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University.  Amanda is certified as a facilitator in PREPARE/ENRICH and enjoys working with premarital and marital couples. She worked in the entertainment industry for many years. She has an eclectic theoretical framework with a Christian worldview. One of her favorite Bible verses reads: “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything” (James 1:2-4, NIV)
