Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee
Stephanie is a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee under the supervision of Joanne Weidman, M.S., LMFT40893. She is a student in Fuller Theological
Seminary’s Marriage and Family Therapy program and completed a Master of Arts in Theology from Fuller in 2017. She is currently being trained in Restoration Therapy, an approach that utilizes attachment theory, emotion regulation,
and mindfulness to understand destructive patterns and promote change. She is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy.
Stephanie believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship as a catalyst for exploration and healing. She also recognizes the uniqueness of every individual and works to provide thoughtful attention to serve the distinct needs of each person. She maintains a holistic perspective, integrating mind, body, and spirit, to empower every client in reaching his or her full potential. Originally from Houston, TX, Stephanie worked in ministry for many years, as well as in the private sector before moving to California. Her therapeutic interests include anxiety, trauma, grief, depression, issues relating to identity and/or spirituality, life transitions, career development, women’s issues, and Generation Z. She works with individuals, families, and couples.
