LAURIE CARMICHAEL, M.S.
Everyone has a story to tell that deserves to be heard. Through partnering with you at a safe and respectful pace, Laurie’s desire is to assist with integrating the complexity of your past, the reality of your present, and the potential of your future. From the first session, her commitment to her clients is to walk closely alongside them as they seek to know themselves better. Whether Laurie is helping you process life’s struggles, modeling communication and self-regulation skills with couples, or observing relational patterns learned in childhood, she will maintain the perspective that each client requires a unique therapeutic approach, specific to their needs.
Laurie is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist under the supervision of by Leonore Sullivan Cash, M.A., MFT#38052. Laurie graduated with an M.S. in Marital and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary and a B.A. in Therapeutic and Community Psychology from Point Loma Nazarene University. Laurie is also a certified facilitator through Prepare and Enrich.
Laurie has a clinical interest in infertility and the emotional and psychological toll this takes on women, men, and couples. She has completed a certification course in Basic Infertility through the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and will be running periodic, short term, process groups for women going through infertility.
